It begins without a clear warning. Within minutes, episodes of strange, chilling in rash of deaths in major cities throughout americas. For Philadelphia high school science teacher Elliot Moore (Mark Wahlberg) the most important thing is to find a way to escape the mysterious and deadly phenomenon. Although he and his wife Alma (Zooey Deschanel) are in the midst of a marital crisis, they hit the road, first by train, then by car, with Elliott's math professor friend Julian (John Leguizamo) and its 8 year-old daughter Jess (Ashlyn Sanchez), heading for farmlands of Pennsylvania, where I hope it will be beyond the reach of the grisly increasingly attacks. However, it soon becomes clear that nobody - and nothing - is safe. This frightening, invisible murderer can not be outrun.
