John Hancock (Will Smith) is an unhappy and reluctant superhero, lives in his own world. If the world reluctantly Hancock swings into action - he can fly at supersonic speed, weight lifting and is insensitive to all weapons.

Saved from certain death by rasty hero, Ray returns the favor by inviting him to dinner with his wife Mary (Charlize Theron) and son Aaron (Jae leader) and announced he will remake to Hancock's image. he makes it his mission to change his superhero image and the public cheering him.
